POD
The IP audio infrastructure that delivers announcements, music and content to areas not covered by the onboard audio system.
Audio coverage where it’s needed
Not all areas of a vessel are covered by the existing audio system or can be managed independently. Extending a traditional setup can require complex, inflexible modifications.
Seafy POD creates a modular IP audio network for delivering informational and commercial announcements, music and audio content to selected areas of the vessel. It works alongside the existing infrastructure without altering the safety functions of the PA system.

When every new area requires a dedicated setup.
Traditional audio systems are built around the vessel’s original layout. Adding a new zone, delivering different content or changing coverage may require dedicated cabling and infrastructure work.
For operators, this means more time and higher costs to extend the service, with less flexibility in managing announcements, music and commercial content.
- Uncovered areas: Some passenger, commercial or operational spaces may not have adequate audio coverage.
- Limited zone contro: Content, volume and scheduling cannot always be managed independently.
- Complex upgrade: Each extension may require new cabling and modifications to the existing system.
How it works
Seafy POD nodes are installed in the areas to be covered and connected to the vessel’s IP network. Zones, priorities and content are configured via software and managed centrally.
The solution can operate as a stand-alone system or integrate with the audio content management systems already onboard.
- Distributed installation: Nodes are placed in the areas defined by the project without affecting the safety functions of the PA system.
- Zone-based management: Content, volume, priorities and scheduling can be configured for each area.
- Centralised control: Informational and commercial announcements, music and audio content are managed from a single point.

An infrastructure that grows with the vessel
Seafy POD is designed as a modular infrastructure for extending audio coverage across different areas of the vessel. Its distributed architecture can evolve over time by integrating compatible devices, without requiring a separate infrastructure for each new service.
Depending on the project, POD nodes can also support environmental and operational sensors, as well as optional cameras, progressively expanding monitoring and space analytics capabilities.
- Multi-zone audio: Announcements, music and content can be managed independently across different areas of the vessel.
- Sensors: Integration with compatible devices to collect environmental and operational data.
- Cameras: Optional integration of monitoring and space analytics systems, in line with applicable requirements.
- Modular architecture: New devices and features can be added progressively as the vessel’s needs evolve.
